Wolfgang Millgramm received his musical education in Berlin at  the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. The Berlin State Opera engaged the young artist and offered him the opportunity to sing  a wide lyric repertoire. In order to develop into a more dramatic Fach, Wolfgang Millgramm accepted an engagement with Nurem-berg  opera followed by a further engagement with the Dortmund Opera. In Dortmund Wolfgang Millgramm interpreted roles such as Adolar in Euryanthe, Hüon / Oberon, Chénier /  Andrea Chénier, Tannhäu-ser / Tannhäuser, Stolzing / Die Meistersinger von Nürn-berg.  Guest appearances inter alia in Trieste (Teatro Giuseppe Verdi, Götterdämmerung / Siegfried), Prague (National Theatre Prague, Tristan und Isolde / Tristan under Jiri Kout), Prinzregententheater, Munich (Das Liebesverbot / Claudio; Ariadne auf Naxos / Bacchus), Royal Opera House, Stockholm (Tristan und Isolde / Tristan, new production), Rome (Teatro dell'Opera di Roma , Fidelio / Florestan; Der fliegende Holländer / Erik), New Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv (Fidelio / Florestan), Palermo (Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Ariadne auf Naxos / Bacchus), Oviedo (Tannhäuser / title role),  St. Gallen (Tosca / Cavaradossi) and in Modena and Ferrara (Teatro Comunale, Der fliegende Holländer / Erik) and at the Stuttgart State Opera (Tristan und Isolde / Tristan). Bayreuth Festival 2002 and 2007 Tannhäuser / title role  (leading team: Christian Thielemann / Philippe Arlaud).   Wolfgang Millgramm’s concert work with the finest orchestras and conductors includes performances with Oleg Caetani, Mikko Franck, Jiri Kout, Heinz Fricke, Fabio Luisi, Otmar Suitner, Stefan Soltesz, Wolfgang Rennert, Christian Thielemann and Hans Wallat.  CDs: Naxos, Tristan und Isolde / Tristan under the musical direc-tion of Leif Segerstam. Orchestre National de France, Stephan: Die ersten Menschen / Abel under Mikko Franck.
